My name is Micaela J. Velasquez. I am 14 years old and an 8th grader at Mann Middle School in Abilene, TX. I work extremely hard to balance my schoolwork and shooting. I am proud to say I am a straight A student.
I am also very involved with my local 4-H Club and serve as the Secretary of the club. I participate and compete in several project areas of 4-H, along with participating in many community service activities. I am a member of 4-H Shooting Sports, National Sporting Clays Association, Texas State Rifle Association and USA Shooting.
I have recently started competing in Bunker Trap. My current goal is to earn a place on the USA National Junior Team and compete for the USA at Junior World Cup competitions. My long-term goal is to earn a place on the USA National Team and represent the USA at the Olympics.
